Learning is a lifelong adventure. Similarly, the library’s vision is for the library to be an exciting lifelong learning and cultural center-the heart of the community-with cutting edge technology that increases accessibility. This fall, join the adventure and experience the vision with CLASS at the Salina Public Library.
CLASS emphasizes hands-on, face-to-face workshops and classes where you can explore your curiosity and share your interests with others. CLASS students and instructors agree lifelong learning should be fun and that taking classes enriches their lives. With CLASS, you create your own self-directed, interactive learning to fit your schedule and interests!
Classes described are taught by local instructors. Classes take place inside and outside the library so the community really is your classroom. And when you want more, you’ll find information on every single class topic at the library – in books, videos, CDs, DVDs, and Internet access. The library offers opportunities every day to engage in learning through publications, multi-media formats, CLASS programs and even by chance as you browse the shelves or surf the web.
Whether you’re interested in hands-on classes in cooking, speaking a new language, improving your health and wellbeing, creating beautiful things, reading good books, or simply having fun and meeting new people – you’ll find your place in Community Learning And Skill Sharing, a program of the Salina Public Library.
